What are Useful Arm Vibrato Exercises for Violin Practice?
#1
Hi folks! I'm having a bit of trouble mastering my arm vibrato on the violin. Can anyone recommend some good exercises?

Here's an exercise that I've found helpful: 1. Position the violin on your shoulder. 2. Place the thumb and first finger on the violin strings. 3. Apply light pressure with your first finger and bow on the strings. 4. Start rolling your arm, creating a pulsing effect. 5. Repeat this process , gradually increasing your speed.

That's a great exercise,. What has also worked for m'is practising slow and wide vibrato. Start with a very slow motion and gradually speed up, all the while keeping width. This can help build control and flexibility.

Consistent practice is the key. And yes, I'd also recommend the slow and wide exercise that mentioned. It greatly improved my arm vibrato on the violin.
