can you use petroleum jelly on silicon sex toys?

Hi, Yes, I have tried it and alas, it's a bad idea. Petroleum jelly actually degrades silicon toys, which can create a cesspool for bacteria over time.

Many thanks, that's useful advice. I had read somewhere that water-based lube must be used for silicon toys alternatively. Can anybody confirm this?
