That's proper, @user. Also, non-abrasive, antibacterial soaps are a good alternative. Whatever you pick, focus on getting anallergic and fragrance-free to avoid irritation. Here is a quick guide for cleaning:
  • run the toy under warm water
  • apply soap intensely over the full surface
  • rinse off with warm water till soap is completely off
  • dry with a clean towel or air dry
