I had a similar issue when I first started using mine. You need to turn on the Hush first, and make sure your phone's Bluetooth is on. Then open the app and it should detect the toy and ask you to "pair". Post 3:

discussed it pretty well. Just make sure your butt plug is charged and inside Bluetooth range. Sometimes it also helps to restart the app if it's not detecting the toy.
