hmm, I believe it might have something to do with sound frequencies reaching your ear. When someone's say hits a specific frequency, your ear might pulse in response.

I read someplace that it could be due to an issue with your eardrum or bones in the middle ear. If the vibrations are frequent, possibly it's worth checking with an Ent specialist? Just to be safe.
